Entities. An entity is one owner’s books: yourself, a trust, an LLC. Each has its own ledger, and you switch between them at the top of the app. The plans keep one, three or ten; the ten-entity plan can add more, one at a time.
Statement reading. PDF statements are read from their own printed text where they carry it, and proved against each property total and the check total. No AI is involved in those.
The AI reader (beta). For scans and layouts that cannot be proved from their text, and only after you tick the consent box before the read.
Statement scans. Each statement read, either way, uses one of your plan’s scans for the year. A file read again does not use another, up to three reads of it. The app shows how many you have used and the date the count starts over; the year runs from the day you first sign in.
CSV and Excel import. Owner-portal detail files, with a column-mapping step you can correct.
Review before anything is saved. Every statement opens for review, and it cannot be added until its lines add up to the check amount.
The ledger. By well, by check, by operator, by payee, by month and by year, with an Analysis view of revenue, prices, taxes and deductions.
Reports. Check register, 1099 reconciliation, owner statement, and detail by property or payor — print-ready or as CSV.
Your data, portable. Download the ledger as CSV or as a backup file at any time.
Common questions
Do you keep my statements? No. A statement is read and then discarded. Only the ledger lines you approve are saved, with your account. Keep your own copies of the statements.
What if I run out of scans? Move up a plan from Account inside the app, or on the ten-entity plan add an entity, which brings 16 more scans. Entering a statement by hand and importing CSV or Excel detail are never counted, so the ledger keeps working either way. Unused scans do not carry into the next year.
What if a statement cannot be read? You can send it to the AI reader, import the owner-portal CSV or Excel detail instead, or enter the statement by hand. Hand-entered lines work in every view and report.
Is this tax or accounting advice? No. Revenue Tracking reads and totals what your statements say. It does not audit them, compute ownership interests, or give tax, legal or accounting advice. Check every reading against the statement, and talk to your accountant about the tax treatment.
I already subscribe to oilstats.us. Do I need this? No. Revenue Tracking is built into your map at oilstats.us — sign in there. This site is for owners who want the ledger on its own.
How do I cancel? Any time, from Account inside the app. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
